Wadhurst - one of the best places to live 2024

The Times has announced the list of Best Places to Live in the UK for 2024 and Wadhurst has been shortlisted for the Southeast Region. 

Wadhurst was the proud overall winner in 2023 which certainly put the village on the map with house hunters.  It is therefore very welcome that it has been shortlisted for 2024 amongst fierce competition. 

Judges commented upon Wadhurst’s strong community spirit, recognising the numerous volunteers who work hard to organise events, help residents, and keep the village looking its best.  There was also praise for the range of societies and activities on offer appearling all ages and interests.  

Beyond the village is the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which creates a wonderful backdrop for the village’s setting and a wonderful playground for residents including Bewl Water and The Bedgebury Pinetum.
